This was the session of a lifetime. I have known these two for quite some time and have gotten to watch their love grow and grow, even through the distance. With Shannon in Dallas, Ben in Boston, and me in Atlanta. we weren't sure how we were going to plan an engagement session. Luckily, it just so happened that one weekend in Boston worked perfectly for us all. We woke up before the sun and headed out to Walden Pond. What a DREAM. I am stilly giddy about this haha. I have always loved Thoreau and still can't believe this was real life. As the sun was rising, we came upon an incredible garden in full bloom. It was overflowing with the most outrageous flowers that accented the fall colors of New England perfectly. We were in disbelief at the beauty and our luck. We then headed over to the shores of Walden where early risers were swimming laps across the waters or setting up for a Sunday morning on the beachy shores. Like I said, a real life dream. Thank you to Ben and Shannon for having me up to Boston and for being down to explore some beautiful places together!

“We must learn to reawaken and keep ourselves awake, not by mechanical aids, but by an infinite expectation of the dawn, which does not forsake us even in our soundest sleep. I know of no more encouraging fact than the unquestionable ability of man to elevate his life by a conscious endeavour. It is something to be able to paint a particular picture, or to carve a statue, and so to make a few objects beautiful; but it is far more glorious to carve and paint the very atmosphere and medium through which we look, which morally we can do. To affect the quality of the day, that is the highest of arts.”
